Among the four TikTokers, a woman was shot dead near Anklesaria Hospital in Karachi City’s Pakistan Garden District.
The incident happened early on Tuesday, according to a storey in the Dawn newspaper.
Sarfaraz Nawaz Shaikh, City Senior Police Superintendent (SSP), said all four of the dead were active on social media, particularly Tik Tok. He said that two of those who died were relatives, identified as Muskan and Amir.
Muskan called Amir, according to the official, asking him to meet on Monday night. Amir arranged a car and took Rehan and Sajjad, his colleagues, to meet her.
All four roamed the city and [Amir and Muskan] even made videos of TikTok [during that time],” the police officer was quoted as saying, “TikTok videos [during that time].
The official said the four were attacked by unknown assailants near Anklesaria Hospital, Garden, at 4:48am. Within the car, the woman was killed while all three men were shot outside the car. The official said, “They were taken to the hospital but succumbed to their wounds.”
Rehan and Sajjad had previously made a TikTok video in which they were seen doing aerial shooting in the Ittihad Town area of the city, Shaikh said. After it went viral on social media, police took note of the video and lodged a FIR against the two guys.
He further said the murders “appeared to be the result of certain personal problems.” Nevertheless, he added that the precise motive and identity of the killers were being investigated.
