The State Bank of India (SBI) has erected a floating ATM on Srinagar’s Dal Lake. The ATM was opened on August 16 by SBI Chairman Dinesh Kumar Khara, according to the lender.
According to SBI, the floating ATM on the renowned Dal Lake will meet a long-standing demand while also adding to Srinagar’s allure.
For the convenience of locals and tourists, SBI erected an ATM atop a houseboat at #DalLake, Srinagar.
On August 16, the Chairman of SBI officially opened it. “The floating ATM in the famed Dal Lake fills a long-standing demand and will add to Srinagar’s allure,” SBI said in a tweet.
Khara paid a visit to J&K Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan during his visit to the state.
According to a PTI report, the chairman informed the L-G of the SBI’s newest activities in J-K aimed at increasing financial inclusion.
Khara and Sinha also talked about planned financial services that will be available to residents of the union area.
According to the spokeswoman, the L-G ordered the chairman to look into all options for providing financial assistance to the youth through various schemes and interventions, as well as CSR efforts.
