Srinagar :Former Chief Minister of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir , Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday said that she was again “detained”, third time in less than a fortnight.
Taking to her Twitter handle, the Peoples Democratic Party president said, “Illegally detained today for the third time in less than a fortnight. Too much democracy indeed,”
“If my movements are curbed due to ‘security concerns’ then why are BJP ministers allowed to campaign freely in Kashmir while I’ve been asked to wait until culmination of DDC elections?”
By “a lot of majority rule government”, Mehbooba was clearly alluding to NITI AAYOG President Amitabh Kant’s indicated comments on Tuesday that “extreme” changes are “troublesome in the Indian setting,” as “we are an over the top vote based system”.
Prior on Tuesday, Mehbooba was not permitted to move out of her home indeed by the Jammu and Kashmir organization. She was planned to visit Budgam to meet individuals from Gujjar and Bakarwal people group.
In late November, Mehbooba had claimed that she and her daughter, Iltija Mufti, were placed under house arrest and not allowed to visit the Pulwama residence of party leader Waheed Parra, who was arrested by the NIA.
“I’v been illegally detained yet again. Since two days, J&K admin has refused to allow me to visit @parawahid’s family in Pulwama. BJP Ministers & their puppets are allowed to move around in every corner of Kashmir but security is a problem only in my case,” Mehbooba had said in a tweet.
