Srinagar, Jan 23: In addition to 183 Battalion Border Security Forces, a joint team of 16 Rashtriya Rifles from the Police and Army broke up a hideout on Saturday in the general area of Harri Budha in Poonch District of Jammu Division.
Official sources told GNS that a joint team of forces led by DySP Operations Manish Sharma and DySP Headquarters Mudasir Hussain launched earlier this morning a search operation in the Harri Budha region upon receipt of relevant inputs.
A hideout was busted during the operation, leading to the searching team recovering weapons and ammunition, sources said.
SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral, meanwhile verifying the incident, told GNS that during the search operation weapons and ammunition included; an AK-47 rifle, 3 AK-47 magazines, 3 Chinese handguns, 5 pistol magazines, 4 hand grenades, a UBGL grenade, 82 AK-47 bullets, 33 pistol rounds and a radio package.
As this report is being filed, the search operation is still going on in the area.
