Mohammad Hafeez, 40, knocks a 49-ball century in the BCCI-banned KPL.

Mohammad Hafeez, the seasoned all-rounder, finally produced his best in the first edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) T20 on Friday, after a bad run with the bat during Pakistan’s limited-overs visits to Zimbabwe, South Africa, and England (August 13).

Hafeez torched his willow for a stunning century for Muzzaffarabad Tigers against Mirpur Royals in Match 15 of the tournament.

The veteran right-hand batter pounded out 110 runs on 54 balls in an inning. The Tigers scored 227 from their stipulated 20 overs because to the Pakistan stalwart’s brilliant performance.

Hafeez scored his century in just 49 balls, having already passed fifty with a spectacular six down the ground. The 40-year-old smashed the Royals’ bowling assault all over the Muzzaffarabad venue.

His team’s chances of winning the game and retaining second place on the six-team points table improved as a result of the knock.
