While attempting to prepare the remainder of the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is encountering numerous logistical challenges (UAE).
With each passing day, the Pakistan board’s time is slipping away, as the country’s international schedule beyond June is jam-packed.
According to sources, the PCB plans to kick off the competition on June 5 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. On June 20, the final was intended to be held at the same location.
However, due to a delay in the arrival of numerous players from Pakistan in Abu Dhabi, the board has been forced to postpone the commencement of the league until June 5.
The main issue for PCB is that they must complete PSL 2021 by June 20, anyway, because Pakistan’s national cricket team is scheduled to depart to England on June 22.
As a result, given the time constraints, it’s possible that the league will be shortened. At the moment, Abu Dhabi will host 20 matches. PCB, on the other hand, is considering shortening the tournament by lowering the number of games.
