Renowned TV journalist Rohit Sardana died on Friday as a result of the deadly COVID-19 infection.

The untimely and shocking death of Rohit Sardana, who had a long and fruitful association with Zee Media, has left the media world in disbelief.

Condolences began to pour in as word of Sadana’s death circulated on social media.

In a tweet, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “The death of Aaj Tak journalist Rohit Sardana has left me deeply saddened and shocked.

It’s absolutely incredible. Rohit was back to work after recovering from Covid-19. My sincere condolences to the family members and the Aaj Tak organisation.”

Jaiveer Shergill, a spokesman for the Congress, also took to Twitter, writing, “I was completely shocked to learn of my dear friend Rohit Sardana’s death – I spoke to him last Sunday and he was in great spirits!! Still can’t get over it; I’ll always remember our post-debate conversations; rest in peace, “bhaji.””
